Just recently, Hippeas became the latest product to join Starbuck assortment of grab-and -go snacks on hippeas.com. You’ll find it in tow flavors, Far Out Fajita and Vegan White Cheddar all available in over 7500 Starbuck locations across the United States.

Livio has worked in the natural food and health sector for about seven years now. Livio Bisterzo began working with the food innovation firm in May 2015 to create Hippeas. It took a couple of rounds of development and consumer testing before they finally landed on the finished product. Livio notes that they began working with chickpeas as the primary ingredient and worked extra hard to achieve the perfect texture, bite, taste, and shape. They wanted a good that was not too far from what clients are already used to, but one they would gladly pick from the shelves.

Livio has fielded many comments from different clients who are pleased with Hippeas as the new snack. The snack is culturally relevant, and it addresses most consumer trends that resonate with consumers. Livio Bisterzo believes that they delivered the right product at the right time.

Listening to the reviews from clients and incorporating the desire to offer products that meet specific dietary needs is the primary goal. The products must be by any standard gluten-free, vegan, and meet other needs.

Livio is quite happy with Hippeas product and proud of the social mission of this brand. Hippeas has linked with the Farm Africa to give back to the society by backing up chickpea farmers within the Eastern African region. The credit the brand has received, the opportunities coming along, and the capacity to give back to the community are incredible.
