US Money Reserve makes Coins in Remembrance of Pearl Harbor

The December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor was one of the darkest moments in American history. It was also one of the greatest time periods that the American people ever experienced. Nearly all of the citizens of the United States were unified with Roosevelt’s and Congress’s decision to go to war.
The Japanese military commanders believed that the attacks on Pearl Harbor would force many members of the public to seek peace. However, this was not the case. Instead, the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor helped the American people to realize that they had to stop Japan from carrying out anymore acts of aggression within the world. On November 8, 1941 President Franklin Roosevelt and the American people declared war on Japan.

The year 2016 will mark the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Many people find it hard to believe that this “date in infamy” took place almost a century ago. The reality is that for some of the remaining survivors from this battle, this event might as well happened yesterday.

The United States Money Reserve (USMR) is a precious metal dealer that has created a 75th anniversary gold and silver coin in honor of this great event according to a kusi.com article. The USMR is selling the coins to raise money for the placement of the Lone Sailor statue at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The Lone Sailor statue is a tribute to navy sailors everywhere. This statue was first created during the 1980’s and has been placed at many navy bases all throughout the country. The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation wants to place a copy of this statue at Pearl Harbor where its presence will be greatly appreciated by the servicemen on duty and the general public.

The Navy Memorial Foundation is glad that it partnered with the USMR over this important monument. The US Money Reserve Pearl Harbor coins are not just collector items. They also help people to understand the importance of Pearl Harbor and the Lone Sailor statue. You can read more about this article on Yahoo.
