Alexandre Gama started his creative career as a copywriter for Standard Ogilvy & Mather in 1982. He then went to work for DM9 as a Creative Director. He has also worked for Almap and Young & Rubicam. Alexandre Gama joined the board at the Brazilian Association of Advertising Agencies in 2012. He also serves as a member of the Global Creative Board, a program of the Publicis Group.
He has won various awards for his pioneering achievements and leadership in the advertising industry. About magazine recognized him as one of the most influential professionals in the Brazilian advertising space in 2006. He made the Meio & Mensagem list of ten key leaders in the media communications sector in 2009.
He has won more than twenty Lions from the Cannes Festival. He has also served as a jury member at the Cannes Festival several times. Alexandre Gama also won the Premio Caboré Leader of the Agency of the Year award in 2007.
He is also the founder of VIOLAB, a music recording and distribution company with a focus on Brazilian acoustic music. He has interests in Briggs Automotive, a luxury sports car manufacturer in the UK.
